Dr. Parseghian earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Staten Island College, New York, in 1995, where she actively participated in neuroscience research throughout her undergraduate studies. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999, followed by a residency at the Newington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Newington, Connecticut.
Since 2000, Dr. Parseghian has been providing comprehensive optometric care with a strong clinical interest in complex contact lens fittings for conditions such as astigmatism, presbyopia, and keratoconus. From 2003, she served on staff at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, managing and refracting post-operative cataract and keratoconus patients. She began co-managing LASIK patients in 2002 and served as Clinical Director for the TLC LASIK group in Springfield, Missouri, from 2007 to 2009.
From 2009 to 2025, Dr. Parseghian was part of the multispecialty team at Microsurgical Eye Consultants, working alongside specialists in cornea, glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics, and pediatric ophthalmology. There, she provided primary eye care for adults and children, with a focus on dry eye, ocular surface disease, glaucoma, keratoconus, and corneal disease management.
Dr. Parseghian is a certified provider in multiple specialty contact lens modalities, including orthokeratology (J&J Abiliti lenses), MiSight by CooperVision for myopia control, as well as scleral lenses, SynergEyes hybrid lenses (ClearKone and Duette Multifocal). In 2022, she earned her Massachusetts glaucoma and oral medication certification, further expanding her scope of practice.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Parseghian has a passion for travel, music, and learning new cultures and languages. She speaks Arabic, Spanish, and Armenian.
